Dr Sam Vohra is the Founder and CEO of Avion CRO, an Australian-based Contract Research Organization (CRO) and Imaging Research Organization (IRO) specialising in oncology, radiopharmaceuticals, and complex early-phase clinical trials. She holds a PhD in Molecular Biochemistry and began her career in scientific research in the United Kingdom, including postdoctoral research at the The Royal Marsden in London, before continuing her work in Australia.
Dr Vohra has spent her career working at the intersection of science, clinical research, and innovation in drug development. Since founding Avion Medical in 2019, she has led the company’s growth into a globally recognised partner supporting the development of cutting-edge therapies, particularly in theranostics and imaging-enabled clinical trials.
Under her leadership, Avion has developed strong collaborations with leading hospitals, investigators, Sponsors, and research institutions internationally.
She is particularly passionate about improving equitable global access to theranostic treatments and supporting the development of clinical infrastructure needed to deliver these therapies safely and effectively to patients worldwide.
