The ICPO Foundation aims to advance scientific progress in Theranostics and support visionary researchers worldwide. Through ICPO research grants tailored specifically to the dynamic field of theranostics, the foundation enables groundbreaking advances in cancer treatment. Since its founding in 2019, ICPO has supported Theranostics research with over 1,6 million Euros. Researchers are warmly encouraged to apply and contribute to shaping the future of Theranostics. We run calls for applications on cutting-edge themes while also open windows for spontaneous applications.

Prof. Lalith Kumar Shiyam Sundar, LMU Hospital Munich received the ICPO Research Grant for “AI-driven Advancements in Precision Oncology”

His project is funded by the ICPO Foundation with 100.000 Euros and was selected from 18 high-quality applications from twelve countries

Prof. Helmut Maecke was honored with the Scott Smallwood Honor for Lifetime Achievement in Theranostics

Prof. Helmut Maecke from the University of Basel, Switzerland, and University of Freiburg, Germany, – one of THE pioneers in Theranostics – received the Scott Smallwood Honor for outstanding scientific contributions in the fields of theranostics and novel radiopharmaceuticals with a global sustainable impact in January 2026.

ICPO Foundation awarded Dr. Nadine Holzleitner from the Technical University of Munich with the Maurits W. Geerlings Next Generation Award 2025

Dr. Nadine Holzleitner, a researcher at the Technical University of Munich, was awarded with the MGA during the ICPO Forum for Theranostics in Precision Oncology in May 2025 for her pioneering work "Preclinical evaluation of 225Ac-labeled minigastrin analog DOTA-CCK-66 for Targeted Alpha Therapy (TAT)".

ICPO CALLS FOR RESEARCH APPLICATION

Furthermore, ICPO has decided to launch dedicated calls for applications, addressing cutting-edge research themes. This initiative will enable the Foundation to respond more effectively to rapidly changing research landscapes and strengthen its role in promoting excellent research. With the “AI Call for Application in Theranostics” launched in 2025, ICPO is committed to advancing the field of precision oncology through the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

GUIDANCE BY WORLD-CLASS SCIENTIFIC ADVISORY BOARD (SAB)

The ICPO Foundation is deeply honored that Prof. Richard P. Baum, Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), and, since December 2025, Prof. Frederik L. Giesel, Co-Chair of the SAB, are contributing to this committee with their visionary leadership and groundbreaking expertise.
